Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The room wasn't initially at the right temperature, but it was ready early for us, and I loved the cozy lighting and spacious bed with quality linen. The cleanliness and comfort of the room were top-notch. The service was fantastic, with staff going above and beyond, even offering me a complimentary breakfast throughout my stay. The location was excellent for exploring The Royal Mile and Princess St on foot, providing easy access to attractions and dining options. The dining experience had its ups and downs, with a wide selection of food but some delays in replenishing items. Overall, the facilities were satisfactory, offering essential amenities.
I had a fantastic time at the hotel, although there were a few hiccups. The rooms were lovely, especially the Castle Suite, but the noise from the generator in the west wing was a drawback. The service was a mix - top-class in some areas but disappointing in others. The location was pretty good, although the view of a construction site from our room wasn't ideal. The dining was of high quality, but there were some letdowns. The facilities, especially the spa, were excellent.
My stay was delightful, with clean and comfortable rooms, very friendly and attentive service, and a great location for exploring Edinburgh. The dining was good, but slightly pricey, and the facilities were well-maintained.
My stay at the hotel was a bit disappointing overall. Although the price for the night was over £200, the room was not ready with the cot we had requested, and it was dirty with a big bunch of hair on the pillows where we slept all night. On the positive side, the staff were extremely friendly, courteous, and helpful throughout our stay.
Despite booking early in January, I was let down by the room overlooking a concrete courtyard full of waste bins and noisy lorries all night long. However, the friendly service, especially from Jess, made my stay memorable.
The hotel had large and comfortable rooms with American-style showers that fully close, making them ideal for privacy. However, the room temperature was cold, which was not pleasant given the chilly weather outside. The service was extremely welcoming and attentive, with the staff ensuring our comfort at every step. The location, though good, had a slightly odd entrance by car. The dining experience was great, especially with a tour of the offerings, but the price was a bit high for the location and amenities. Overall, a comfortable stay with some minor issues to consider.
I had a comfortable stay at the hotel with friendly staff and a great location, although there were some room issues that needed attention. The dining experience was satisfactory, and the facilities were decent.
The hotel had a clean and spacious room, although the view could have been better. The bathroom lacked privacy, but the room itself was very comfortable and relaxing, with nice extras like a heated mirror and colored lights.
