Grand Mercure Rio De Janeiro Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro

My stay at the hotel was absolutely perfect! The rooms were spacious and comfortable, although they looked a bit bigger in the photos. The service was incredibly helpful and friendly, especially since I don't speak any Portuguese. The location was truly awesome, with superb views from the roof terrace. The dining experience was a bit of a mixed bag, with a wide variety of food but sometimes overcrowded. Overall, a great value for the money.

The hotel rooms were airconditioned but were not made up before 2 pm, facing a courtyard with washing and a noisy generator outside which could be bothersome for those allergic to many things. The service was excellent, very friendly, helpful, and attentive, offering various amenities. The location is excellent, right on the west end of Copacabana beach, near the fort with a beautiful view. However, the dining area was very crowded and somewhat chaotic, needing more staff on busy days. Overall, a good stay but with some room for improvement.

The dining experience offered a substantial breakfast variety but fell short in some aspects, like the limited cheese selection and simplistic desserts. The facilities were satisfactory, adding to an overall pleasant stay.
