we found our room to be spacious.. the hotel showcases its rich history through informative displays. the room had useful perks including provided toiletries, tea, and coffee, alongside a fridge and kettle for convenience. i used the reasonably priced room service.
while the hotel possesses a certain grandeur, i observed areas needing some refurbishment to maintain its former glory.

beautiful room buffet breakfast convenient location
i was upgraded to a beautiful double room and it was such a treat. the buffet breakfast had so much choice. the location was great for getting to the railway station, it was very convenient.
some of the furniture in my room looked a little old.

central location easy travel quieter room buffet option
The hotel's location is VERY central, a major plus for exploring. I appreciated the proximity to the railway station (it made getting around SO easy). My room faced away from the port, a relief. Breakfast included a buffet with alternating options daily. The restaurant has great outside views.
Some minor wear and tear is visible throughout the building.

the staff were helpful. i could easily walk to nearby restaurants. the hotel had a grand entrance. it was a colonial-style building.
The room was not quiet. The location was noisy. the breakfast options were not great. the room felt a bit run down. It needs some updates.
