My stay at the hotel was a bit of a mixed bag. The rooms, while clean and somewhat comfortable, had a dreary decor and some maintenance issues like a sticky parquet floor. The service, on the other hand, was excellent with friendly and helpful staff proficient in multiple languages. The location was quite convenient, close to many attractions in Porto, though there were some noise issues early in the morning. The dining experience left much to be desired with limited options and subpar quality, especially considering the high room rates.

During the weekend stay, the hotel offered good views from the rooms, but it was ridiculously noisy from the bar patrons until dawn. Despite that, the layout with two separate rooms was convenient for our family with older children.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms had good views but were very noisy from bar patrons until dawn. The layout with two separate rooms and a bathroom in between worked well for us.
Service
9.0
The hotel staff were unbelievably helpful and responsive. They promptly changed our room upon hearing about the noise issue, demonstrating great customer service.
Location

The hotel's building and decor were lovely, and the location in the city center was superb. However, noise from street activities like drunken brawls was a downside.
Dining
8.0
The dining experience was a bit basic with chopped fruit instead of whole, but the variety of dishes was good. The quality surpassed some of the 5-star hotels.
Facilities

The hotel had typical Sicilian products and varied dining options. The facilities were well-maintained and provided a good dining experience overall.

The hotel's location was superb for exploring the city, placing me right in the middle of everything with easy access to shops, restaurants, and sightseeing spots. The rooms were a mixed bag - while my balcony offered a lovely and quiet retreat, the noise from the bar patrons until dawn made it necessary to use noise-cancelling headphones to sleep. The decor could use a bit of a refresh as it felt kind of dreary at times.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were a bit of a hit and miss; while my balcony provided a peaceful retreat, the noise from the bar patrons until very late at night was a significant disturbance. Could use some talc to freshen up the decor.
Service
6.0
The service was a mix of highs and lows. While the staff were very friendly and welcoming, the demand for advance payment for the entire stay before seeing the room felt a bit off. However, their efficiency in helping me find a lost item was commendable.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location was superb for exploring the city, as it was central and within walking distance of all the major attractions, shops, restaurants, and sights. A fantastic spot for a city adventure.
Dining

The dining experience was delightful, with a range of delicious options and a charming dining room. The ability to enjoy meals on the garden terrace was a lovely touch, creating a serene setting in the heart of the bustling city.
Facilities

The facilities were overall satisfactory, offering a pleasant dining experience and a convenient location within the city. However, some improvements are needed in terms of noise management and service consistency.

The hotel had a cozy back room with a lovely balcony making it a quiet city center stay. The beds were comfortable, and the tea tray was well stocked. However, the room felt seedy, unclean, and extremely cold, almost like being outside.

Rooms

The room felt seedy, unclean, and very cold, as if we were sitting outside from one side to the other.
Service

The staff were exceptionally helpful, going out of their way to provide information, locations, and services. However, their professionalism and courtesy were not up to hospitality standards.
Location

The hotel is centrally located, making it convenient to visit all desired places in Porto. The little garden and borrowing library were nice additions.
Dining

The dining area, while small, had a large plate of excellent breakfast dishes to choose from to kick off the day superbly.
