i found the breakfast buffet to be excellent. the hotel location is superb for exploring the area. the architecture and decor of the building were charming, it seemed like stepping back in time.
the rule requiring men to wear long trousers felt very outdated. my husband was not allowed entry to the dining room while wearing smart shorts. i found this embarrassing and uncomfortable, especially in the heat.

The pool area was very well equipped. I appreciated that.
The lack of soundproofing was a big problem. I could hear conversations from the next room and the use of showers and toilets. The bathroom seemed tired and in need of an update. It really detracted from the experience.

i found a bottle of wine in my room it was a nice touch i suspect this was due to the length of my stay i really appreciate that the bistro offered excellent food every day for lunch i also had breakfast daily on the terrace of the restaurant and enjoyed the lake views

I loved the outdoor pool. it was great to relax by it. My grandchildren also enjoyed swimming in the spa pool, IT was so relaxing. Service and food were excellent. The breakfast buffet was delicious.
the cleaning could be more thorough as the bath tub in one of our rooms was clogged with hair.
