The concierge greeted us and took our luggage immediately. Check-in was easy, and we had our room within 20 minutes of arrival. This hotel is fantastic (i LOVED IT). The rooms are beautiful. We booked a Beautiful Double Room and had a lovely view of the garden area. Breakfast was lovely. There are seats and tables in the garden area for chats during the day and night.
Service was a little slow, but the friendly staff made up for it. We called twice for extra towels, but they never came.

the location was okay and allowed for walking access to nearby sites.
the room i got was facing the street. it got VERY noisy at night with people and cars passing by. it was hard to sleep with ALL that noise. i needed the window open to try to get some air in the room because it was stuffy.

The hotel garden IS beautiful and tranquil. Staff members were friendly and personable and addressed requests immediately. The breakfast room was originally the refectory, a nice detail. The chapel on the hotel was large and fine.

the hotel has many lovely qualities. i noticed the building is a beautifully converted 17th-century convent with a church. the location is excellent, a short walk to restaurants, bars, or gianicolo hill. i found the continental breakfast in the hotel gardens to be a great start to the day.
The noise from the street was a real issue. It disrupted my sleep. i asked for a fan but never got a follow-up, though they eventually comped my bar tab.
