Reviews and Ratings
I was thrilled when I arrived at the hotel, but unfortunately, the excitement faded quickly. The room had a lovely design, but it wasn't ready as promised over the phone. This led us to change in the lobby bathrooms for the pool, which was inconvenient.
My stay at La Costa left much to be desired. The room I stayed in had no hot water and a leaking pipe, requiring immediate attention. It was evident that the room needed various upgrades, including paint touch-ups and thorough cleaning. Unfortunately, the experience was worsened by old hair in the coffee pot and a broken toilet paper holder. However, the resort did have some strengths like beautiful pools and convenient transportation services.
I had a bit of a mixed experience at this hotel. The room had some issues with a confusing balcony situation, a smell of sewer in the shower, and constant dripping hot water. However, the service was overall nice despite some dismissive moments. The location was wonderful, and the dining, especially the free breakfast for kids, was excellent. The facilities were satisfactory.
The hotel has nice rooms but needs floorboard repairs; however, they were not ready as promised, so we had to change in the lobby bathrooms. Noise insulation was poor, and the sounds of people walking upstairs could be heard. The location is vast and beautiful, but it felt too small for the number of families staying that weekend. The dining experience was excellent, especially the free breakfast for kids.
I was pleasantly surprised by the spacious and comfortable rooms at the North end of the resort, offering a peaceful view of the golf course. However, there was a noticeable musty smell upon entering, perhaps masked by the cold temperature. The service provided in villa preparation was delightful, although food delivery times were inconsistent. The location, although a bit secluded, offered beautiful surroundings and various dining options on-site. The dining experience was good throughout my stay, with an added bonus of complimentary breakfast for the kids. Overall, the hotel provided a mix of positives and negatives during my visit.
The hotel had a mix of pros and cons. The rooms were in need of repairs and updates, with some issues like a falling bathroom light/heater/vent fan. However, they were beautiful, comfortable, and featured a large patio.
