Reviews and Ratings
The hotel rooms were amazing, just a short walk from the beach and pool. However, the distance to the restaurants was a bit far, and the food quality needs improvement.
The hotel has its charm, but some areas need improvement. The rooms, while spacious, are a bit dated and not as advertised. The service staff are friendly and entertaining, especially Ana at the Front Desk. The location is great, just minutes away from the city center, but there are occasional sales pitches. The dining experience can be hit or miss with limited variety. Overall, it's a decent stay with room for enhancements.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of highs and lows. The rooms were in need of renovation and had some issues that required me to change rooms in the middle of the night on the second day. Despite this, the bed was incredibly comfortable. The service was generally good, with a few exceptions, such as one unpleasant incident at the front desk. The location was excellent, offering beautiful beach views and a clean environment. The dining experience left something to be desired due to repetitive options but was overall satisfactory.
My stay at the hotel was not pleasant. The rooms were old and outdated, with issues like cracks, mold, and leaking tiles in the shower. The check-in experience was terrible, with rude employees. I would recommend finding another place to spend your money.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms, although outdated and lacking proper air circulation at times, were always clean and comfortable. The pool was fantastic, especially for enjoying Dominican rum. However, there were instances of guests falling ill, possibly from the food or other resort areas, and constant pressure to attend a time share workshop. Puerto Plata is a beautiful location in the Dominican Republic.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were clean and pleasant, but the front desk seemed indifferent to issues. The only available restaurant was the buffet, which offered mediocre food. On the upside, our room was spotless upon arrival, and we were greeted with a lovely gesture of champagne. However, the overall atmosphere felt old and musty, and obtaining basic amenities like an extra blanket was a challenge. The Air Transat representative was unhelpful, more focused on personal matters than guest concerns.
