Giannoulis - Grand Bay Beach Resort (Adults Only), Kolymbari

I had a lovely stay at the hotel. The room was spacious with a great view, but the balcony didn't offer a clear sea view when seated. The location, although quiet, was relaxing next to the sleepy harbour village. The dining experience offered a variety of dishes, but it was somewhat repetitive. Overall, a tranquil place with some minor drawbacks.

I was delighted by the stunning views of the sea and the private pools shared with only a couple of rooms, but the hotel fell short of its 4-star rating. The friendly and helpful service made up for some of the shortcomings.

The hotel offers spacious and well-appointed rooms that unfortunately have blocked sea views due to a wall on the balcony. The staff is attentive and helpful, although there are some issues with amenities. The location in Kolymbari, near a small fishing village and sights in Western Crete, is a major plus, but some facilities need improvement.

I felt thoroughly spoilt by ALL members of staff who go above-and-beyond at this hotel. The rooms are clean but very dated, and unfortunately, I couldn't lie on the sun beds due to constant traffic to-and-from the bar. However, the staff were incredibly attentive and accommodating when we raised our concerns about the room condition. The location is superb, right on the beach, with many rooms offering stunning seafront views, although the area mainly consists of a few tavernas. The dining was varied and delightful, showcasing traditional Greek cuisine with lovely views of the sea, while the facilities were somewhat lacking with only a few very old gym machines and no air conditioning or towels provided.
