Grandhotel Zvon, Ceske Budejovice

The hotel is perfectly situated right on the main square in Ceske Budejovice, offering a large and comfortable space in the heart of beautiful old town. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, although the lingering smell of cigarette smoke was a downside. The service was friendly and accommodating overall, but there were some unfortunate incidents. The dining experience was decent but could use some improvement. The location is fantastic, within walking distance to many shops and restaurants.

Staying at this hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were very nice, clean, and smelled really good, but they were dispersed in several buildings connected in a strange and difficult way, adding some inconvenience. The smell in the room was so terrible that it made me feel sick, not meeting the expectations set by the booking description.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were not accessible by an elevator but had a great view overlooking the Christmas market. However, the hotel staff informed us that they no longer offer rooms with this view, and our room overlooked an internal patio with little to no view.
