I had a nice stay at Wild Dunes, especially with the unexpected upgrade to the Presidential Suite. The beach was gorgeous, and the whole hotel is well-maintained and spacious. However, I did face some minor inconveniences, like the construction noise and some crowded areas.

The Presidential Suite was fabulous and very spacious, making my stay truly enjoyable.
Service

The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my visit, especially with the complimentary valet service.
Location

Wild Dunes has beautiful beach access and scenic walking paths among the trees. A perfect getaway spot.
Dining

I didn't dine extensively during my stay, but the couple of on-site restaurants I tried had some wait times, which was a bit frustrating.
Facilities

The pools looked inviting, but they seemed a bit crowded during peak hours.

My stay at Wild Dunes was mixed. The resort has some beautiful aspects, like the friendly staff and spacious condos, but many areas need improvement, especially the parking situation and ongoing construction. While I enjoyed the beach proximity, overall, it left me wanting more.

Rooms
6.0
The condo was roomy, clean, and had a well-equipped kitchen. However, some areas felt outdated and run down.
Service
6.0
I found the staff polite and friendly, which was a highlight of my visit. However, the check-in process was confusing.
Location

The beach was a short walk away, and the resort is a good base for exploring South Carolina. But, the main road was busy and felt crowded.
Dining
6.0
I struggled to find decent dining options on-site, and the service at restaurants was slow.
Facilities
5.0
There were several pools and amenities available, but the construction work and limited pool space detracted from relaxation.

My stay at Wild Dunes was a mix of highs and lows. I was initially disappointed with the unexpected relocation to an offsite house, but it turned out to be beautiful and perfect for my needs. However, I found some of the additional costs, such as chair rentals, to be steep and inconsistent, which put a damper on the overall experience.

Rooms

The new house we stayed in was beautifully appointed and accommodated us perfectly, although it was not the original condo I had booked.
Service
8.0
Taylor, the manager, was fantastic in making sure we had everything we needed; other staff were less helpful in comparison.
Location
6.0
While I appreciated being in a gated community, it did feel a bit remote, and it required a car to explore the nearby areas, including Charleston and Mount Pleasant.
Dining
6.0
We enjoyed cooking in our full kitchen most mornings, but found the drink pricing at the resort to be inconsistent and often overpriced.
Facilities
6.0
The fitness center had plenty of cardio equipment, but the beach chair and umbrella rentals were excessively priced as well as the lack of on-site facilities due to our offsite location.

I was hopeful about my stay at Wild Dunes Homes And Villas, but I found the hotel in need of significant upkeep. While the beach area had been made more enjoyable with added sand, many facilities felt dated and poorly maintained. Overall, the experience didn't match my expectations, particularly compared to my last visit.

Rooms
5.0
Upon arrival, my first room smelled of smoke, and even though the second room was better, it wasn't what I expected. The 'resort view' was disappointing, and the beds weren't made properly.
Service
5.0
I reached out to management multiple times about the noise from construction, but I was never contacted back. This lack of communication was really frustrating.
Location
5.0
The location is quite nice, with plenty to do nearby in Charleston and the beach improvements are appreciated.
Dining
5.0
The options were limited and the restaurant I loved last time was replaced with a less desirable BBQ place, which was a letdown.
Facilities
5.0
The overall facilities, including the pool, felt lacking compared to previous visits. Some areas seemed like they had been neglected.

My recent stay at Wild Dunes Homes and Villas was a mix of positives and negatives. The spacious two-bedroom suite was quite accommodating for my family. however, the resort experience left much to be desired. Many facilities and dining options were closed, making it hard to fully enjoy our time there.

Rooms
6.0
The two-bedroom suite was spacious with a full kitchen and living area, perfect for my family of five. However, I encountered issues like dirty dishes in the dishwasher and a non-functioning shower door.
Service
5.0
While the staff was friendly, I faced long delays in getting help, especially with booking beach chairs and umbrellas. On multiple calls, it took over an hour to get a response from guest services.
Location
5.0
The resort occupies a beautiful area with a large beach, but the amenities and activities without driving off the hotel were scarce. The layout was confusing, making navigation quite challenging.
Dining
7.0
I enjoyed a delicious breakfast and dinner at the main restaurant, though many shops and restaurants were closed during our visit. This made dining options limited.
Facilities
5.0
The pools were overcrowded, and I found them unclean, which significantly impacted my experience. Also, the resort charged extra for beach chairs and umbrellas, which felt quite absurd, considering the high cost of the stay.
