Grand Kecubung Hotel, Pangkalan Bun

My stay at the hotel was absolutely delightful. The rooms rivaled any others during our trip in terms of comfort and amenities, and I particularly enjoyed the clean and comfortable space on the second level overlooking the attractive pool area. Staying in the more recently added wing just off the charming lobby was a great bonus.

The hotel offers spacious rooms with good bathroom facilities but could improve cleanliness levels, as some areas showed signs of neglect, like mold on the walls and dust. The initial cigarette smell upon arrival was off-putting, but the room size was generous. The service was accommodating, changing our booking without charges and offering diverse amenities like room service and car hire. The location, though not central, provides a comfortable retreat away from noisy spots. The dining options were basic and could see improvements. The facilities offered were satisfactory, though there was a notable waiting time for the elevator to go up just a floor.

The Royal Suite hotel offers comfortable rooms with good hot showers, but the second-level rooms, especially the bathrooms, could be improved. The service is attentive, even providing overpriced prohibition beers upon request, despite the language barrier. The location is convenient, close to eateries and shops. The dining options are basic but sufficient. Overall, a decent stay with room for enhancement.
