The hotel offers a mixed experience with a glorious view of Gulangyu island from the rooms but some noise from the highway. The indoor pool has a nice setup, but the view of a construction site outside may not be appealing.

My stay at the hotel was a mix of great and not-so-great experiences. The rooms were quite big and had a wonderful view of Gulangyu Island, making them very spacious and suitable for work, but they were not very clean by 5-star hotel standards. The service was friendly and smart, with staff willing to help, but some services were overpriced and lacked good customer care. The location was excellent, with easy access to a beautiful mall area, restaurants, and shops, but the choice of restaurants onsite was limited. The dining experience was excellent and offered a variety of Chinese, European, and American meals, although I missed having cinnamon rolls. Overall, there were positive and negative aspects to consider when booking this hotel.
